Precision, Tested & Supported.
Thermo Electric supports its customers with the full range of services needed to design, test, install and use our temperature measurement solutions — every sensor individually tested under our commitment to 100% quality control.
How We Support You
Four service areas, one standard of quality
From the lab to your site, Thermo Electric stands behind every sensor. We invite you to contact us to identify the support that fits your specific application.
Calibration Laboratory
NIST-traceable precision, built on 50+ years of experience
Our labs are built with state-of-the-art equipment and the latest calibration and quality-control techniques. Formalized written procedures follow industry standards and draw on 50+ years of experience, using only NIST-traceable standards.
On request, finished products are calibrated non-destructively and documented in a formal Report of Calibration that satisfies most industry standards. All calibrations use the comparison method employed by major national labs — achieving uncertainty as low as 0.03 °C.
The labs test from cryogenic −195.6 °C up to 1250 °C, combining liquid nitrogen, precision oil baths, fluidized salt baths and high-temperature ovens to hold the stable temperatures the process demands.
Calibrations between −40 °C and 350 °C are performed under our ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation, while the full range remains supported by NIST-traceable standards.

Cycle Testing
Repeated heating and quenching of finished sensors to guard against premature failure from thermal stress.
Response Time
Determining the time a sensor needs to respond to a change in temperature.
IR Testing
Measuring insulation resistance at ambient and working temperature — a leading indicator of failure.
System Calibration
Testing completed assemblies, such as RTD / transmitter combinations.
Testing & Inspection
A broad range of non-destructive testing and qualification
Hydrostatic Pressure Testing
TE can safely pressure-test hardware, connections and sensor assemblies hydrostatically from 0 to 75,000 psi (0–5000 Bar). We test threaded connectors, valves, pipe, tubing, sensor immersions and brazed, vacuum-brazed or welded joints — with immersions up to 30″ and outside diameters from .125″ down to .032″.
Generally non-destructive, our testing verifies the integrity of a component or system without compromise — typically qualifying maximum allowable working pressure (MAWP) at 150% for a margin of safety. Typical applications: oil & gas, combustion, power generation, waterjet cutting, hydraulic power, and defense.

Oxygen Cleaning
Solvent cleaning for oxygen-service contamination control, verified by bright-white, UV, wipe and mirror inspections, then sealed and certified “Oxygen Cleaned.”
Chlorine Cleaning
Cleaning and packaging per the Chlorine Institute for dry chlorine systems between −150 °F and 300 °F — free of oils, grease and reactive residues.
