85 Years On, a New Home Online
This year, Thermo Electric Company turns 85. Since 1941, our work has stayed remarkably consistent — engineering temperature sensing solutions that perform in the world’s most demanding environments. What has grown is everything around it: our people, our reach, and the partners who count on us. Reaching this milestone felt like the right moment to step back, take stock of who we’ve become, and give our website the refresh it deserved.
Today, we’re proud to unveil that redesign at thermo-electric.com.
More than a fresh look
A new website is an easy thing to announce and a harder thing to get right. We didn’t want a cosmetic update. We wanted a site that reflects what we actually do and who we actually are — clearer navigation through our thermocouples, RTDs, and accessories; a better view of the strategic sectors we serve, from power generation and nuclear to aerospace, semiconductor, and oil and gas; and a more honest sense of the company behind the catalog.
As part of COTEMP Sensing, we now operate across six countries — the USA, Canada, France, the UK, Belgium, and India. The new site brings that scale together while keeping our mission exactly where it has always been: relentless accuracy, uncompromising quality, and partnerships built to last. Building trust through accuracy isn’t a tagline we adopted for the relaunch; it’s the standard that got us to 85 years in the first place.
The part a website can’t fully capture
Here is the truth behind every redesign: a website will never fully capture the team that makes a company what it is. Behind every sensor we ship is a group of people who care deeply — about getting the details right, standing behind their work, and serving the industries that rely on us.
That culture is built on a few simple things we take seriously: respect, trust, and a genuinely positive mindset. And it doesn’t stay inside our walls. Our customers benefit from it directly, in the quality of what we deliver, the responsiveness they get when something is urgent, and the confidence that the people on the other end of the line actually care about the outcome. A strong internal culture and strong customer relationships aren’t two separate goals — they’re the same thing, seen from two sides.
Take a look
For a company that’s 85 years old, we feel surprisingly young — still curious, still improving, still proud of the craft. The new website is one more step in that direction, and we’d genuinely love to hear what you think.
